Starting with their 1966 album Aftermath, the songs of Jagger and Richards, aided by the instrumental experimentation of Jones, expanded an always present stylistic flexibility. Their 1965 single "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" established the Rolling Stones as a premier rock and roll act. The band's early recordings were mainly covers of American blues and R&B songs. Ian Stewart was removed from the official lineup in 1963 but continued to work with the band as road manager and keyboardist until his death in 1985. Bassist Bill Wyman and drummer Charlie Watts completed the early lineup. The band formed in 1962 when original leader Brian Jones and pianist Ian Stewart were joined by singer Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards, whose songwriting partnership later contributed to their taking the leadership role in the group. Formed in London and having their first success in the UK, they subsequently became popular in the US during the "British Invasion" in the early 1960s. The Rolling Stones are an English band whose music was initially based on rhythm and blues and rock & roll. That's it and thank you have a lot of fun playing! My love will laugh with me be-fore the morning comes. If I look hard e-nough in-to the setting sun I could not forsee this thing happening to you. No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue. It's not easy facing up when your whole world is black. Maybe then I'll fade a-way and not have to face the facts. I see my red door and I want it painted black. I look inside myself and see my heart is black. Like a new born baby it just happens every day. I see people turn their heads and quickly look away. With flowers and by love both never to come back. I see a line of cars and they're all painted black. I have to turn my head un-til my darkness goes. I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes. No colours anymore I want them to turn black. I see a red door and I want it painted black.
